In bright winter conditions at Crap Sogn Gion, nineteen-year-old French rider Romain Allemand claims his first LAAX OPEN title, making history as the first French snowboarder to win a FIS Slopestyle World Cup. Allemand impresses with progressive and technical difficult tricks, including a back double 1080 pullback to 900 melon. 17-year-old Yuto Kimura (JPN) finishes second, while Olympic champion Su Yiming (CHN) takes third place. From a Swiss perspective, Jonas Hasler delivers an outstanding performance, securing sixth place and clinching his Olympic qualification.
In the women’s competition, Kokomo Murase claims her first LAAX OPEN victory. The Japanese rider impresses with a stylish frontside double cork 900 truckdriver. Lily Dhawornvej (USA) finishes in second place, while Olympic champion Anna Gasser completes the podium in third.
